Child Privacy Policy

We have created a safe environment for our members. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy, especially the privacy of children. (Specifically, a child is defined as a person under the age of thirteen.)

We use our own measures to protect the privacy of children and we are compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, otherwise known as COPPA. For more information on COPPA, visit: http://www.ftc.gov/privacy/privacyinitiatives/childrens.html.

The law requires that a business obtains parental consent before collecting any personal information from children under the age of thirteen or allowing kids under thirteen to publicly post personal information without their parent's consent. This means that children will be restricted from accessing and contributing to the Web site, unless their parent provides consent.

The purpose of the law is not to restrict businesses from providing services and capturing useful data, but to restrict children from releasing information about themselves that could allow a stranger to contact them.
